Pale green foliage emerges silvery with purplish veining. Spikes of fragrant, white, bottlebrush-like flowers on blackish stems appear in late summer and early autumn and are attractive to pollinating insects. 

Prefers a fertile, moisture retentive but well-drained soil in partial shade. Will tolerate some sun in soils which do not dry out. CARE: All parts of the plant are TOXIC. Wear gloves when handling.
