A very unusual but beautiful form of columbine known since 1902. This small dainty variety produces a mound of fern-like, grey-green foliage from which rise stems bearing sweetly scented flowers of chocolate and green with long chocolate spurs. Flowers appear from mid spring until early summer and are a magnet to pollinating insects. 


Prefers a fertile, well-drained soil in partial shade. 

Height: 10-12 inches / 25-30cm

Spread: 6-10 inches / 15-25cm
