Grown for its seeds, caraway has a unique flavour that has been prized for centuries. A tasty addition to cooked rice, it can be used to flavour green vegetables, cheese and home-baked bread. Harvest seed when fully ripened and then hang flower heads upside down inside a paper bag to dry fully before placing in an airtight jar. Flowers are very delicate, airy, panicles of small white flowers which are a magnet for pollinating insects.

Prefers a moist soil in full sun.
