  • Plant for shade

A beautiful variety of Lily-of-the-Valley whose bright green leaves are boldly striped with golden-yellow. Stems bearing numerous, white, fragrant, bell-shaped flowers appear in early summer.

Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in partial shade. Benefits from early morning or late afternoon sun to ensure variegation remains strong.

Height: 6 - 10 inches / 15 - 25cm

Spread: 10 - 18 inches / 25 - 45cm

Lynne’s notes:

I absolutely adore Lily-of-the-Valley. It was my Nan’s favourite flower and it’s one of mine. Lots of people believe that you can’t improve on the original but this variety is absolutely superb. In my experience is grows strongly and clumps up well. The variegation is strongest when the plant receives some sun (see above) as in heavy shade the leaves can revert to plain green. It’s a plant that would always be on my ‘must have’ list.
