A variety with rich cream goblet-shaped flowers whose petals have brown flushes and deep golden-yellow bases. Flowers appear in late winter and early spring and have very distinctive bright organge stigmas. Usually more than one flower per corm.

Prefers a gritty, poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Summer dormant.

Height: 4 - 6 inches / 10 - 15cm

AGM: The RHS Award of Garden Merit. Plants awarded an AGM are:

  • excellent for ordinary use in appropriate conditions
  • available
  • of good constitution
  • essentially stable in form and colour
  • reasonably resistant to pests and diseases
