Known as the 'Shooting Star' due to the arrangement of the flowers. Each flower has five reflexed petals and a cluster of yellow stamens converging to a point. Each stem may have up to 12 flowers.
Prefers a moist but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Suitable for woodland or rock garden. Becomes dormant by mid summer.

Spread: 10 - 12 inches / 25 - 30cm
AGM: The RHS Award of Garden Merit. Plants awarded an AGM are:
- excellent for ordinary use in appropriate conditions
- of good constitution
- essentially stable in form and colour
- reasonably resistant to pests and diseases
