Plant for shade
One of the oldest cultivars known (probably since the 1850’s). A vigorous selection which increases well and is one of the late flowering varieties. There are usually two flowers to each stem and it has a distinctive marking on the inner segments which some consider to look like a Chinese bridge, others a simple inverted ‘U’.
Prefers a rich, fertile soil in sun or partial shade. Dormant by summer. A vigorous variety which clumps up well.
Height: 4 - 10 inches / 10 - 20cm
