A native of Japan with low mounds of mid-green, palmate leaves which remain evergreen in mild winters.  In summer and early autumn, small, bright pink flowers with deep pink veins and violet stamens appear which are attractive to pollinating insects. Stems may root when in contact with soil for prolonged periods.

Prefers a well-drained soil in sun or part shade.
