An endearing little plant. The flowers open almost at ground level. Clusters of tiny yellow, fertile flowers surrounded by conspicuous olive green petal-like bracts appear well into spring. Flowers are followed by scalloped-edged green leaves.

Prefers a moist, fertile soil in partial shade but prefer a drier soil when dormant.

Height: 6 - 12 inches / 15 - 30cm

Spread: 6 - 12 inches / 15 - 30cm

  • available
  • of good constitution

Lynne's notes:

This is one of the plants I always look forward to seeing in spring. It's a real curiosity but so easy to grow.

Delivery Options

Our web shop is now open for you to browse and make your selection from. Postage and packing charges depend on the size and quantity of plants you buy. We only send plants out Monday (not Bank Holidays) to Thursday. This is to avoid packages being left in the postage system over the weekend.
