Plant for chalk soil
Plant for clay soil
Plant for sun
An old variety, grown since the late 19th century. Rich butter-yellow flowers appear in summer. Flowers are a magnet for bees and butteflies.
Prefers a moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Remove spent blooms to encourage prolonged flowering. When flowering is over and new growth is visible, remove all flowering stems so the new growth receives lots of light. This will help the plant to establish itself before the onset of winter.
Height: 24 - 30 inches / 60 - 75cm
Spread: 18 - 24 inches / 45 - 60cm
