Spikes of tubular flowers in a deep cobalt blue shade appear in spring. The lower florets have a frilly white edge. The foliage appears in late winter/very early spring, often several weeks before the flower buds appear. 

Prefers a well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Summer dormant. Great in a container. Will self seed but not as weedy as some other varieties.

Height: 6 - 8 inches / 15 - 20cm
