Rosettes of broad, oval, bright green leaves give rise to strong stems carrying clusters of delicately scented, nodding, rich yellow flowers from early to late summer. The flowers have a white farina at the base and on mature plants can number up to 40 all on one stem. This is one of the largest primulas. Flowers are attractive to pollinating insects.

Requires a moist soil in sun or partial shade.
