The most popular variety currently grown in the UK. Excellent for winter forcing. Crops from spring to late summer and has a tangy flavour.
Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Remove any flower stems so the plant does not waste any of its energy. DO NOT cut stems in the first year after planting so the plant can establish itself. CARE: Leaves of rhubarb are toxic and should never be eaten.
Height: 24 - 36 inches / 60 - 90cm
Spread: 24 - 36 inches / 60 - 90cm
