Glossy, bright green lobed leaves give rise to strong stems bearing mauve-pink flowers with delicate veining from late spring until early autumn. Flowers are a magnet for pollinating insects.

Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in sun, partial or full shade. A very adaptable plant for a range of conditions. Will tolerate dry shade when established. Will self-seed.

Height: 12 - 24 inches / 30 - 60cm

Spread: 18 - 30 inches / 45 - 75cm

Lynne’s notes:

I love this Geranium. It is such a versatile plant and one I wholeheartedly recommend. If you require a plant for a shady spot with dry soil then Geranium nodosum is a very good candidate. When established, it happily grows beneath shrubs and trees and may self-seed. When I say established, I mean that after planting in the best soil you can give it, you need to water in well and take care of it until the plant is producing new growth and growing well.
