A vigorous variety with white, single flowers in summer. Semi-double white flowers appear later in the season. All flowers have bluish-lilac backs to the petals and are a magnet for pollinating insects.

Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade.

Height: 18 - 36 inches / 45 - 90cm

Spread: 18 - 36 inches / 45 - 90cm

Lynnes notes:

When ‘Wild Swan’ appeared its was such a beautiful addition to the Anemone family. Sadly I’ve never been able to grow it well in its second year. The other members of the ‘Swan’ family are so much easier I’ve found but no less beautiful. I love this variety. The strong, stately stems carrying the lilac-backed white flowers always attract attention. I love this for the middle of the border or the middle of a container arrangement in partial shade.
