An evergreen fern that typically produces an erect clump of tongue-shaped, leathery, bright green fronds, which may have wavy margins.

Prefers a moist but well-drained soil in full to partial shade. Will tolerate dry shade when established.

Lynne's notes:

This is the first fern I remember growing in my Grandad's garden and for this reason it has a real place in my heart. That said, it is a fabulous fern. It's tough, easy to please and evergreen. Mature specimens look amazing in the shady border or container (my Grandad had a group planted in an old white painted tyre!).
