A handsome variety which is very similar to Brunnera macrophylla ‘Jack Frost’ however ‘Silver Spear’ leaves have more silver tones and a pointed tip. Silver heart-shaped leaves have green margins and veining. Sprays of pale forget-me-not like blue flowers appear in spring before the foliage. Flowers are attractive to pollinating insects.

Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in partial shade. Will tolerate full shade and a drier soil once established.

Spread: 12 - 24 inches / 30 - 60cm
