Attractive dark green marbled foliage gives rise to strong stems bearing spiky blue flowers in summer. The flowers are composed of a prominent, cone-like centre surrounded by a ruff of spiky bracts. Flowers are loved by pollinating insects.

Prefers a well-drained soil in full sun. Will tolerate a poor soil. Avoid excessive winter wet.

Height: 12 - 24 inches / 30 - 60cm                      

Spread: 12 - 18 inches / 30 - 45cm
