Deep green, pale green and yellow striped leaves become magnificent arching clumps at maturity. In late summer and autumn the foliage becomes flushed with red shades. Clouds of pale green seed heads appear in summer and persist for many weeks. 

Prefers a fertile, moisture retentive but well-drained soil in full or partial shade.
