Upright and arching stems bear pointed, oval, green leaves which are heavily striped in white. Small greenish white, tubular flowers appear in late spring and early summer and hang from the leaf axils. Flowers are a magnet for bees and may be followed by black berries in autumn. Such a beautiful plant!

Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in partial shade. 

Height: 12 - 18 inches / 30 - 45cm 

Spread: 18 - 30 inches / 45 - 75cm

A wonderful plant that I would never want to be without. It ‘works so hard’ all season by always looking good whether in flower or not. I’ve found it can take quite deep shade and still look amazing. The white in the foliage really ‘pops’ in a shade border and looks stunning with blue leaved hostas, white flowered astilbes and lily of the valley (Convallaria).
