Dark reddish-brown leaves have a rich even colour which sets off the bright golden-yellow flowers to perfection. The most famous of the bronze leaved variants introduced bu Christopher Lloyd at Great Dixter. Leaves may begin to appear in winter if mild conditions persist.
Prefers a well-drained soil in partial shade. Summer dormant. Not as rampant as the species by any means but will self seed.
