Pale green, wrinkled leaves give rise to stems bearing clusters of flowers in shades of pink in spring. White flowers are sometimes seen. It’s creeping rootstock means the plant will become a large clump. The flower petals may have smooth, rounded or fringed edges. 

Prefers a moist soil in shade. Summer dormant. Reappears in spring.
