A very large flowering species with tiny, candy-pink flowers surrounded by a ruff of broad, papery, candy-pink bracts. They appear from late spring to early summer and intermittently through the rest of summer on branching stems above bright green glossy foliage. Flowers are attractive to pollinating insects. 

Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Will self seed. 

Height: 18-30 inches / 45-75cm

Spread: 18-24 inches / 45-60cm
