This is a superb plant. An early flowering Corydalis which will gently seed about but never becomes a nuisance. Dense spikes of delicate, rosy-red tubular flowers rise above blue-green, fern-like foliage. Foliage disappears by early summer allowing it to be grown under or around later-flowering plants.

Prefers a well-drained soil in partial shade.
