Delicate, crimson and pale yellow flowers appear in spring and  provide a beautiful contrast to the bright green leaves which are infused with red-bronze tints.

Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in partial shade. Will tolerate a dry soil once established.  Cut back old foliage in late winter before flower stems emerge. New foliage will follow flowers.
