Dark green rosettes of leaves form handsome, evergreen ground cover in shady spots. Stems are topped in spring with clusters of yellow-green bracts. Will spread to colonise an area when established.

Prefers a well-drained soil in partial to full shade. Will tolerate dry shade when established. CARE: Spent flower stems should be removed down to soil level when they fade but take care as the milky sap can irritate the skin especially in sunshine. TOXIC if ingested.
