A neat mat of bright green foliage gives rise to stems bearing clusters of white star-shaped flowers in spring.

Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in full or partial shade. Will tolerate drier soils when established. Strong sun will scorch the leaves. Will spread and can swamp more delicate neighbours.
