C From a mound of green, deeply divided leaves rise stems bearing white flowers with strong purple veining to the petals. Flowers appear in summer and are attractive to pollinating insects. Leaves may be edged in red tones which become more distinctive in autumn.
Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in partial shade. Remove spent blooms to prolong flowering.
