Fern-like, green foliage gives rise to stems bearing nodding pink buds which partially open to reveal creamy-white petals. Flowers are loved by pollinating insects and appear in summer. The flowers are succeeded by attractive fluffy seed heads.

Prefers a well-drained soil in sun or partial shade.
