A native of Japan with arching stems of narrow, bamboo-like leaves striped with green and creamy-white. Mature plants form low, cascading mounds of foliage which look stunning in the border or in a container. Airy, arching sprays of flowers appear in mid to late summer. Foliage and flowers develop reddish-brown tints in autumn.

Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. 

Height: 12 - 18 inches / 30 - 45cm    

Spread: 12 - 24 inches / 30 - 60cm
