Purple-bronze foliage gives rise to stems bearing lilac-blue, bell-shaped flowers in late spring and early summer. Flowers are attractive to pollinating insects.
Prefers a moisture retentive but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Cut back after the first flush of flowers are spent to encourage a new crop of foliage and possible later blooms.
