Native to Japan. Broad, oval, toothed, mid-green leaves that turn lovely red and yellow shades in autumn give rise to stems bearing airy clusters of small, scented, yellow flowers in summer. Flowers are attractive to pollinating insects. 


Prefers a fertile soil in sun or shade.
