A form of primrose found in the Balkans. This is a sub-species of the common primrose. The flowers are most commonly a pinkish-mauve shade. This has long been in cultivation and is the parent of many ornamental cultivars. Delightful little plant to grow. Begins to flower in late winter.

Prefers a moist, fertile soil in partial shade. 

Height: 6 - 8 inches / 15 - 20cm                      

Spread: 6 - 12 inches / 15 - 30cm
